It is a gypsum concretion, yellow or pink, usually formed by evaporation in arid areas.
Crystals trap sand inside when forming, these sandy inclusions give the distinctive texture and branching pattern like a tree, known as dendrite.
The most beautiful desert roses can be found in the Sahara.
It has the same properties as gypsum.
