Satyrs are not to be confounded with panes, fauns or sileni, they are described as having the upper half of a very hairy man with full beards and the lower half of a goat. Strongly built, these creatures pastime is to make love with any feminine creature: women, nymphs and even goddesses (which only causes them trouble).

Satyrs seldom worry about their partners consenting. They inhabit woodlands and forests.
