ISIS pectoral Egyptian necklace
Aegis of an Isis priestess (EGYPT).
She might be the heir of a prehistoric mother goddess worshipped in the delta, where according to the myth she raised the child Horus. She was also said to have a counterpart with the Mesopotamian demoness Lilith from the myth of Gilgamesh. At the end of the 5th Dynasty, she was mentioned in the Pyramid Texts, where she protects the king from decomposition.
