Himalayan pink salt
Himalayan pink salt was formed 200 million years ago. The Himalayas were formed from the collision of the Indo-Australian and Eurasian plates, which also caused the disappearance of the former Tethys sea. As its water slowly evaporated, the pink salt crystals were formed with a rich mineral and trace element content (potassium, sodium, magnesium, calcium, iron, copper...). This fossil marine salt is known for its natural purity and is extracted from mines.
